  • Children’s Health Foundation of Vancouver Island

    Veronica Carroll, CEO

We are incredibly grateful for the Gord Bamford Foundation’s generous support. Your contribution helps us meet the growing needs of Island families caring for children with complex health challenges. Through our Bear Essentials program, your support will help families cover the costs of health-related travel and life-changing equipment for their kids—like a communication device for a non-verbal child—giving them renewed hope. We’re truly thankful for this partnership and the meaningful difference it makes in our community.

  • KELSEY GLOVER Manager

The music therapy program at the Alberta Children’s Hospital is an integral part of treatment and therapy . This program helps kids cope with their experiences and express themselves in ways words cannot. It also allows them to enjoy interactive and hands-on activities that build self-esteem and creativity. This resource can provide social stimulation, distraction from difficult treatments or procedures, entertainment during lengthy hospital stays, and engaging opportunities for physical, mental, emotional and spiritual healing. We are extremely grateful for the continued support of the Gord Bamford Foundation towards this program.

  • Christina Dolinski Executive Director

“Support from the Gord Bamford Foundation helps keep our program going and growing. It means we can continue offering life-changing horse riding experiences for kids with disabilities and explore new ways to support their growth and confidence.”

We’d love a heads-up before our quote is used – just to stay in the loop. Thanks again for believing in our work – it truly means a lot.

  • Hockey Alberta Foundation

On behalf of the Hockey Alberta Foundation, I would like to express our gratitude for the support and partnership with the Gord Bamford Foundation. Through your generous contributions over the years a significant difference has been made for kids and communities in Alberta by supporting the Every Kid Every Community Grant program which provides financial support to communities offering hockey programs to kids that otherwise would not have the chance to experience and play the great sport of hockey.

Your belief in our mission, to foster and support the access to youth hockey in Alberta by working in collaboration with partners to fund those who need us, invest in those who will lead us and honour those before us.  is deeply appreciated.

Thank you again for your invaluable support. We are truly grateful for your partnership in supporting Alberta kids and communities.

  • McMaster Children’s Hospital

    Bonnie Brittain, Music Therapist

The continued support of the Gord Bamford Charitable Foundation plays an essential role in the success and growth of the music therapy program at McMaster Children’s Hospital. Thanks to your generosity, we continue to provide music therapy across inpatient units, a day treatment group, and—more recently—to help with coping for children who attend hospital clinics regularly for lengthy outpatient treatments.

Music therapy offers patients and their families moments of comfort, connection, and even joy during challenging times. We’ve witnessed many touching milestones—like a child’s first words in a song, the calming effect of music reducing a patient’s heart rate, or the first smile during a difficult hospital stay. Through music, children find a way to express themselves, cope, or simply enjoy creating music in the midst of a difficult hospital stay.

It is truly a privilege to walk alongside our patients and families, and it’s only possible because of compassionate donors like you. Your support allows this program to continue to thrive and grow. Thank you for making these moments possible!
