SYLVAN LAKE WRANGLERS
Originally the Blackfalds Wranglers, the Sylvan Lake are a regional Junior “B” Ice Hockey team based in Central Alberta, Canada.
They are members of the North Division of the Heritage Junior B Hockey League.
“The support of the Gord Bamford Foundation has enabled the Wranglers to be more than just a hockey club and focus on mentoring children in the community. This has always been a goal, but was not a reality until we received funding from the foundation.”

In 2017, the Foundation’s initial contribution the Wranglers was the largest event supported at the time. It enabled an annual Christmas “Skate with the Wranglers” program where local children are fed, win prizes, and skate with the team. In addition, we have been able to host minor hockey teams at home games to meet the team as well as enables our players to read in schools and partner in other Central Alberta children focused events. ~Wranglers Manager
As a not for profit organization, The Gord Bamford Foundation is passionate about supporting youth. As a Foundation we provide funds for initiatives that include or involve music, education, health care, sports, and multi-use facilities that benefit youth across Canada.
