The Gary W. Harris Canada Games Centre/Centre des Jeux du Canada Gary W. Harris will provide a wealth of new opportunities for Red Deer College, our students and student-athletes, as well as our many partners, community members and our region.

RDC is committed fully to this capital investment, which will be supported in part by way of thoughtful, financial investment from numerous partners. The Shaping our Future campaign includes a $30 Million fundraising initiative. The success of this project is supplemented by major private philanthropic investments by businesses and generous individuals, like the Bamford Foundation, who share a vision for our community and central Alberta.
The Gary W. Harris Canada Games Centre is RDC’s newest facility to support teaching and learning; it will open its doors to students in the fall of 2018, and it will serve this purpose for decades to come. Shortly after the building opens, it will be a prominent part of the 2019 Canada Winter Games. After the Games, the Centre will also be used by community members, partners and community groups for a variety of purposes.
