IMPORTANT NOTES

  • You will receive a welcome package upon arrival with a site map and a list of the weekends events
  • Security will be on site for the duration of the event, all guests will be given a wrist band upon check in that must be visible to security at all times
  • Medic station on site
  • Camping sites do not have power, bring a generator if you like
  • There are 2 camping spots per lot
  • Liquor tickets will be available for purchase and two areas will be set up for bar service

Recommended items to bring:

  • Beachwear to enjoy the beach area
  • Sun Screen
  • Bug Spray
  • Clothing for hot and cooler weather
  • Hats
  • Lawn Chairs
  • Snacks/Beverages
  • Hockey sticks – if you or your kids plan to play in the road hockey tournament on Saturday hosted by the Hockey Alberta Foundation
  • Kids Movie Night - bring lawnchair and/or blanket (snacks will be provided)

Poker Tournament
Friday, August 17, 2018

  • Event scheduled to start at 7:15pm, Friday
  • Check in time: 7:00pm
  • First 40 paid entries confirm spot in tournament
  • Entry fee buy in: $250
  • Based on 40 participants, 70% of the entry fee purse will be paid out to the top 3 finishers
  • First place: $5,000
  • Second place: $1,500
  • Third place: $500
  • Re-buys are allowed at a cost of $150 per re-buy and can be purchased until the end of the 6th blind level and as many times as wanted
  • At the end of the 6th level, all players can complete one further add-on for $150
  • Rules are standard to Texas Hold’em
  • Inexperienced players will be provided "cheat sheets" to evaluate their hand
  • Servers will be in attendance to host the event

NOTES

The payout purse may change based on number of participants. Remaining 30% is used to service the company, Laur-Ben Holdings, which is handling the event.

All re-buys and add-ons go to the Gord Bamford Foundation and we thank you!

Road Hockey Tournament
Saturday, August 19, 2018

  • 1:00pm - 4:00pm
  • 15 minute games
  • 8 coed teams of 5-9 players, ages open
  • Bring your stick and goalie equipment
  • Tournament champion will be crowned
  • Each team will play 3 games
  • Fun for the whole family
  • Gord Bamford will referee final championship game
  • Playing for Every Kid, Every Community Cup presented by the Gord Bamford Foundation and Hockey Alberta Foundation
