Gord Bamford Foundation and Wetaskiwin Longhorns launch Community Giveback, Wetaskiwin Initiative

The Gord Bamford Foundation is proud to announce an exciting partnership with the Wetaskiwin Longhorns hockey team, co-owned by Canadian Country Music Artist Gord Bamford and businessman Dennis Haan. Together, they are launching a new Community Giveback Initiative at the Wetaskiwin Co-op Place Arena.
This initiative will run throughout the Longhorns’ season, giving fans and community members a chance to win while directly supporting local charities and community programs through the
Gord Bamford Foundation.
“We are thrilled to be working alongside the Wetaskiwin Longhorns to bring this initiative to our community,” said Gord Bamford, Co-Owner of the Wetaskiwin Longhorns and Founder of the Gord Bamford Foundation. “Hockey has always played a big role in my life, and partnering with our team to give back to the community in this way is something I’m extremely proud of.”
“As a Foundation, our focus has always been on supporting children, families, and communities through meaningful initiatives,” said Corinne Szepesi, Foundation Manager of the Gord Bamford Foundation. “This partnership with the Longhorns is a natural fit, and we are excited to see the positive impact it will bring to Wetaskiwin and surrounding areas.”

The initiative supports projects that fit the Foundation’s focus on helping youth and strengthening communities, with priority for programs connected to music, education, health care, sports, and multi use facilities that benefit young people.
